Newbury Park

A male, 49, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 3:15 p.m. Dec. 18 in the 600 block of Avenida Del Platino. On allegations of the same offense, a female, 46, was arrested at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 19 in the 500 block of Avenida Del Platino.

A male, 37, allegedly battered and injured his wife during an argument, and he was arrested at 11 a.m. Dec. 21 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Burglars entered Target at 2705 Teller Road several times with the intention of buying goods with counterfeit money between Oct. 3 and 20. The crimes were recently reported.

A home was burglarized between midnight and 2:44 a.m. Dec. 10 in the 3100 block of Gerald Drive.

A vehicle break-in occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 17 in the first block of Amgen Way. The front door window was broken, and a computer case was stolen.

Thousand Oaks

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A female, 52, at 11:33 p.m. Dec. 20 at The Lakes Drive, south of Thousand Oaks Boulevard; a male, 21, at 2:29 a.m. Dec. 21 at Wilbur Court and Wilbur Road; and a female, 22, at 1:45 a.m. Dec. 22 in the 400 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 21, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 8:20 p.m. Dec. 19 in the 700 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 34, was arrested and charged with battery at 10:50 a.m. Dec. 20 in the 600 block of Paige Lane.

A male was arrested at East Valley Sheriff's Station for allegedly committing a residential burglary on Dec. 22.

On a charge of possessing a stolen computer, a male, 38, was arrested in Ventura on Dec. 22. The theft occurred in the 1500 block of Covington Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Dec. 14.

A female, 46, was arrested and charged with grand theft at 1:35 a.m. Dec. 19 in the 2800 block of Rainfield Avenue.

Charged with attempting to steal $1,234 in merchandise from Macy's at 590 W. Hillcrest Drive, a male, 33, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 20.

A female, 49, refused to leave the Best Value Inn at 2850 Camino Dos Rios by checkout time on Dec. 21. The subject stayed on the premises after being told numerous times to go because she was unable to pay for another night. She was arrested and charged with trespassing.

Customers bought food at Denny's at 50 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard then left the restaurant without paying at 3:11 a.m. Dec. 19.

A burglar damaged three storage areas and stole property at Conejo Creek South playfield areason Dec. 18 or 19. The subject also smashed a motionactivated light. The total damage estimate was $1,600.

A shoplifter stole $9 in merchandise from Claire's at 266 E. Hillcrest Drive between 9:34 and 9:45 p.m. Dec. 19.

A burglary was attempted at a business between Dec. 19 and 21 in the 1100 block of Hendrix Avenue.

Property was stolen between 1:40 and 1:45 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 300 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

An unlocked bike was stolen from the front of a home between 2 and 2:10 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 1700 block of N. Moorpark Road.

Front porch property valued at more than $400 was stolen between 5:30 and 10 p.m. Dec. 19 in the 3400 block of Birdsong Avenue.

On suspicion of being drunk in public, a male, 45, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. Dec. 20 in the 1600 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A vandal smashed a windshield with an unknown object on Dec. 19 or 20 in the 200 block of N. Skyline Drive.

A car was scratched (more than $400 in damage) in the Janss Marketplace parking lot between 2 and 2:15 p.m. Dec. 20.

A unlocked vehicle break-in occurred between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 16 on Calle Abedul. A locked car was broken into between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 2400 block of Willow Lane.

Westlake/T.O.

A computer tower was stolen from a locked vehicle on Dec. 12 or 13 in the 2100 block of Glen Hollow Street.

A male, 40, was cited for possessing a Ralphs shopping cart away from the store's premises at 12:25 p.m. Dec. 18 at E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Pierce Arrow Avenue.

Property was stolen between Nov. 12 and Dec. 12 in the first block of Baxter Way.
