Take Your Thousand Oaks Acorn on Vacation
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY—Four Thousand Oaks couples visit the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz, Germany. Ken and Lily Sugino, Lori and Glenn Kissinger, Jeanne and Dave Balsley, and Marilyn and Dave Carpenter traveled to Europe to celebrate the Carpenters' 50th wedding anniversary. GIANT SHORTCUT—Sue and Irish John Gore of Thousand Oaks take their T.O. Acorn along on a trip down the Panama Canal. The canal was completed in 1914. Cutting through the canal rather than going around Cape Horn in South America reduces a ship's trip by thousands of miles and many days. THE RAIN IN SPAIN—Thousand Oaks residents Carol and Shimon Paskow vacation in Gerona, Spain. The weather was cloudy, but the T.O. Acorn kept their smiles sunny. ON THE BEACH AT WAIKIKI—Newbury Park resident Teresa Rodriguez sent us a photo of her grandsons on a balcony on the 14th floor of the Outrigger Hotel in Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii. AMISH PARADISE—Ben and Elaine Rieger of Thousand Oaks visit Manheim, Pa. They took their Acorn along when they ate lunch at an Amish home in Pennsylvania Dutch Country. WHICH WAY FROM HERE?—Nancy and Steve Rappa, center, of Thousand Oaks share the local news with Pat and Lorna Anello while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. |
