Rolando Gutierrez, 29, was found dead at the scene on Christmas Eve after his 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche crashed in a single vehicle accident, authorities said.

According to a police report, the North Hills resident lost control on the wet roadway at 4:36 p.m. while driving east on Wildwood Avenue approaching Olsen Road. The truck skidded sideways across the westbound traffic lane and hit the north curb. The car then continued through a block wall before stopping on its right side.

Senior Dep. Medical Examiner Craig Stevens said the official time of death was 5:02 p.m. Multiple head injuries were the cause of Gutierrez's death, Stevens said.
