Course on environment offered

Principles of Environmental Sustainability, a new course offered by UCLA Extension, will explore "green" business practices. The class will meet 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 8 to March 26, in Boelter Hall, Room 5273 on the UCLA campus, Westwood.

The class will begin with an overview of environmental science and the interrelationships between humans and the environment, including global warming and human health risk assessment, then analyze and evaluate environmentally friendly business practices.

Participants will conduct environmental audits at local businesses.

The teacher is Eugene Tseng, JD, founder of E. Tseng and Associates. Tseng is an environmental engineer and licensed California attorney specializing in environmental law. He is an adjunct profession of environmental law at the University of West Los Angeles School of Law.
