Drawings of man accused of exposing himself Drawings of man accused of exposing himself Police need help in identifying a man suspected of exposing himself in October to two young girls at Canada Park at Erbes and Olsen roads in Thousand Oaks. He could be the same man who allegedly committed a similar crime in Simi Valley in February.

Thousand Oaks police are hoping residents will take a look at composite drawings of the man. He's described as Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, 20 to 30 years old, with black hair. He might have a facial mole and a mustache. He's said to have a very high-pitched, squeaky voice. In both the Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley incidents, he wore a black cape.

The Thousand Oaks Police Department believes someone in the community knows this man, based on his unusual voice and appearance. The public's assistance in identifying him is being sought to prevent further occurrences, Detective Greg Tougas said.

This isn't the same suspect who allegedly tried to attack an 18-year-old student as she crossed the footbridge over Olsen Road at 9:20 a.m. Dec. 16.

According to police, that man tried to grab the woman by the neck as she walked from the main California Lutheran University campus toward the sports complex. The alleged victim fought back, punching and kicking the assailant, who fled toward the main campus. The woman then went to the sports complex and notified authorities.

Police connected her description of the assailant to similar descriptions of a man who's been indecently exposing himself to female pedestrians or joggers, alone or in pairs, since September 2006 in the Northwood Park/ Pederson Road area of T.O.

That man is described as Caucasian, between 18 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, 130 to 150 pounds with a slender build and black or dark brown hair with pale or yellowish skin tone. He wears different types of hats. During the Olsen Road incident, he wore a brown derby, Detective Barbara Payton said.

Police also believe someone in Thousand Oaks knows the man, Payton said.

Anyone who sees one of these men is asked to call the sheriff's department at (805) 654-9511. Other information about the incidents can be given to Detective Tougas at (805) 371-8397.

Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and criminal complaint against any person responsible for these crimes. The caller may remain anonymous, and the call is not recorded. Call Crime Stoppers at (805) 494-TALK (8255).
