Prevent adult abuse

The Ventura County Adult Abuse Prevention Council will present a free program from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wed., Sept. 17 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Senior Dep. District Attorney Chris Harman will present "Senior Savvy—Recognizing Scams and Protecting Yourself from Scam Artists," with Lisa Wright, victim advocate of Crime Victims Assistance Program, Ventura County district attorney's office.

The event will include a continental breakfast.

The program is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Seating is limited.
