Newbury Park

On suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the following subjects were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A female, 26, at 9:32 p.m. July 12 on Newbury Road, west of Haigh Road (subject was involved in a non-injury, single vehicle traffic collision); and a male, 48, at 9:51 p.m. July 12 in the 600 block of Dorena Drive.

A male, 31, was scavenging for scrap metal in a rubbish dumpster around 6:30 a.m. July 14 on Knollwood Drive, west of Wendy Drive. The subject reportedly gave police a false name, possibly to avoid arrest for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. He then allegedly resisted arrest when an officer tried to take him into custody.

A male, 18, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. July 13 on Lynn Road, east of Regal Oak Court, after allegedly burglarizing several vehicles in June and July and using the stolen credit cards obtained during the crimes to make purchases.

A male, 46, was arrested and charged with possesion of a glass smoking pipe at 7:15 p.m. July 12 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

On suspicion of committing petty theft and possession of marijuana, a male, 19, was arrested at 12:35 p.m. July 8 in the 1900 block of Newbury Road.

A burglar broke into Newbury Park High School with the intent to steal property between June 20 and July 7.

A burglar entered an open garage to steal property from an unlocked vehicle on July 11 or 12 in the 4900 block of Via Bella.

Property was vandalized between July 13 and 15 in the 800 block of La Grange Avenue.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On July 10 or 11 in the 800 block of Rancho Road (a cellphone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle and a burglar entered two other unlocked vehicles in the same neighborhood); and on July 11 or 12 in the 600 block of Avenida del Platino (about $2,649 in property was stolen).

On suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the following subjects were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 28, at 1:07 a.m. July 9 at Cresthaven Drive and Westlake Boulevard; a male, 29, at 4:20 a.m. July 12 in the 200 block of W. Janss Road (subject reportedly drove a stolen vehicle, and was involved in a traffic collision in the 700 block of Paige Lane); a female, 21, at 10:23 p.m. July 11 while driving southbound on Skyline Drive, just north of Los Feliz Drive (allegedly involved in a non-injury collision); and a male, 35, at 2:50 a.m. July 16 on Westlake Boulevard, south of Potrero Road.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances: A female, 25, at 3:47 p.m. July 12 at Janss Road and the 23 Freeway; a male, 48, at 3:15 p.m. July 15 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Avenida de Las Plantas; (subject allegedly resisted arrest); and a female, 18, at 11:18 a.m. July 15 after running out of Los Robles Hospital.

During a domestic dispute, a male, 54, allegedly battered someone around 6 p.m. July 13 in the first block of W. Avenida de Los Arboles.

A male, 19, was arrested and charged with committing assault with a deadly weapon at 8:30 p.m. July 13 in the 300 block of Rolling Oaks Drive.

A female, 25, allegedly left her small dog in a locked vehicle without opening the windows or providing water. The subject was cited at 2:55 p.m. July 12 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive, and ordered to appear in court.

Gang graffiti was discovered on a sound wall of the 23 Freeway, north of the overpass at Avenida de Las Flores, on July 12. The damage estimate was $50.

Spray painted gang graffiti was found at Conejo Community Park on July 15.

A vandal spray painted graffiti at various locations between July 9 and 11 on Avenida de Las Flores, between Calle Tulipan and the 23 Freeway.

A woman's purse was stolen around 1 p.m. July 9 in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A burglar committed grand theft between June 20 and 27 in the 4800 block of Floresta Court.

A male, 40, reportedly resisted arrest for his misdemeanor warrants, running away from police on foot before being caught at 8:36 p.m. July 15 in the 1100 block of Whitecliff Road.

Charged with stealing $23.98 worth of beer, a male, 19, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. July 15 in the first block of E. Wilbur Road.

Property was stolen between July 6 and 13 in the 200 block of Greenheath Place.

A burglary occurred on July 13 in the 100 block of Cedar Heights Drive.

Burglars entered a home and stole money between 3:30 and 5:30 a.m. July 14 in the first block of E. Gainsborough Road.

A vandal damaged an entrance gate to a storage lot in the 1300 block of Janss Road between July 11 and 14. The damage estimate was $750.

A female, 24, was cited for leaving the scene of a non-injury traffic collision on St. Charles Drive, west of Wilbur Road, at 8:45 p.m. July 12.

Property was stolen between May 15 and July 15 in the 2600 block of Lavery Court.

A male, 28, was cited for petty theft at 3:35 p.m. July 11 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between July 9 and 11 in the 2900 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard (unlocked); and on July 14 in the 200 block of E. Hillcrest Drive.

Four wheel covers were stolen from a park vehicle on July 13 or 14 in the 800 block of Vinton Court.

For possessing a small amount of marijuana, a male, 20, was cited at 6:45 a.m. July 11 at Avenida de Las Plantas and Avenida de Las Flores.

Westlake/T.O.

A thief stole a wallet and other items from a woman's purse while she was working from 1 to 7 p.m. July 11 in the 2700 block of Townsgate Road.

A male, 18, was cited for vandalizing two trucks at 1:54 a.m. July 2 in the 2500 block of Townsgate Road.
