National Charity League proudly presents this year's debutantes
Katherine attends Louisville High School where she's the cocaptain of the JV tennis team, yearbook photography editor, and Kaires team leader. She's a member of the Principal's Honor Roll, National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation. She dances with O'Connor School of Irish Dance and placed in the Western Regional Competition. Katherine will attend UC San Diego where she'll pursue her career interests in environmental studies. Katherine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard James Boryk. Laura Jane Brownfield Laura of Agoura High School plans to attend Menlo College as a nursing major. Her achievements include honor roll member and captain of the girls' basketball team. Laura also participates in community organizations such as Relay for Life, SADD, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Westminster Presbyterian Church. Laura is the daughter of Sheryl Brownfield. Julie Elizabeth Kemp Julie attends Westlake High School where she's on the Cross County and Track Team. She holds honors with the Scholar Athlete Cross Country and Track Organization and the California Scholarship Federation. She plans to attend the University of Oregon as a business major. Julie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jeffrey Kemp of Thousand Oaks. Courtney Alexis Lewis Courtney attends Oaks Christian High School where she plays on the girls' varsity golf team. On the dean's list for 11th and 12th grades, Courtney's career interest is business. Courtney is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald David Lewis.
Allison, a student at Agoura High School, found her passion in theater. She is the Drama Club vice president and a four-year member of the Thespian Society as well as a cast member of the Comedy Sportz Team and choir all four years of high school. She was also the director of two theater productions at Agoura High. Allison will pursue her acting career at DePaul University in the fall. Allison is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Anthony Martone of Westlake Village. Morgan Ainsley McLeod Morgan, class valedictorian for Newbury Park High School, received Conejo Valley Unified's award for excellence in foreign language. She's member of the Interact Club, Key Club and the cross country and track teams. She also participated in USATF Junior Olympics for cross country. Morgan will attend Duke University to study biomedical engineering and Spanish. She plans a career as an orthopedic surgeon. Morgan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James William McLeod.
Brooke attends Viewpoint High School where she was included in the head master's list all four years of high school. She participated in several high school organizations including Math Honor Society, French Honor Society and Community Service Honors Society. She studied art for the past eight years, and interned with a grief counselor for two years. Brooke plans to attend University of Califonia, Berkeley, majoring in psychology and business. Brooke is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Thomas Montgomery. Piper Marie Nunez Piper, a student at La Reina High School, is a member of the National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation and is an AP scholar. She also was on the varsity golf team . In addition, she's a California Mock Trial Champion for 2008. Piper will attend the University of Notre Dame. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Michael Nunez.
Kelli attends Agoura High School where she was very involved in cheerleading for the school's spirit cheer team. Kelli's community activities include an internship for an elementary children's church program, and she is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church's youth group. Kelli plans to attend Moorpark College, then transfer to the University of Southern California. Her career intent is to become a wedding planner. Kelli is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Malcolm Robertson. Shelby Alexandra Samovar Shelby attends Agoura High where she was a member of the varsity tennis team in all four years and co-captain in 12th grade. She's a Gold Seal Bearer, received the Governor's Medallion for Creative Writing and Agoura's scholastic achievement medallion for her 4.00 GPA in every semester. She also won the UCLA Mock Trial Leadership Award. Shelby found her inspiration in philanthropic work and will double major in business and social policy at UC Berkeley. Shelby is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Gerald Samovar of Agoura Hills.
Jennifer, a student at Westlake High School, plans to attend Moorpark College and then transfer to UCLA. While at WHS, Jennifer helped orchestrate fundraisers to fight child slavery and help Darfur. She'd like to travel the world and continue her mission work in South Africa and MexicoJennifer's career interests include journalism and photography. Jennifer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clarence Smith. Christine Anne Smith Christine of Westlake High School will pursue a culinary career at Moorpark College, then continue her education at UCLA. She has attended missions in South Africa and Mexico. Upon her return, she helped orchestrate fundraisers for organizations aiding Darfur and orphanages. Christine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clarence Smith.
Paige, a student at Agoura High School, will attend the University of California, Santa Cruz to pursue a major in liberal arts. She's an AP scholar and a preprofessional ballerina. She's danced with the American Ballet Theatre School in New York and Irvine as well as the Pacific Northwest Ballet Company School. She also performed at "The Rock." Paige is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Anthony Tavera of Westlake Village. Brittany Lynn Weber Brittany of Westlake High School plans to attend San Diego State as a communications major. While at Westlake High, she was a member of the JV and varsity competition cheer squads. She was also a member of the honor roll, dean's list and headmaster's list and is involved in Your Leadership at Calvary Church. Brittany is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Robert Riley.
