Study planets

The Ventura County Astronomical Society will hold its monthly membership meeting at 7:30 p.m. Fri., May 16 in the multipurpose room at Mesa Union School, 3901 Mesa School Road, Somis.

Guest speaker Dr. Marshall Perrin will discuss "Imaging of Planet Formation."

Perrin is a National Science Foundation astronomy postdoctoral fellow at UCLA. He studied physics and astronomy at Harvard and obtained his doctorate at Berkeley in 2006. His research focuses on obtaining images of material very close to stars.
