Air Force Band will perform Friday at Moorpark College
T.O. middle school student also to play

Cadets Colin Delaney and Frank Sefton of Civil Air Patrol Camarillo Composite Squadron 61 will make their first guest appearance with the 562nd Air Force Band at 8 p.m. tomorrow, Fri., May 9, at the Moorpark College Performing Arts Center, 7075 Campus Road.

Colin is a junior at Ventura High School, where he plays trumpet with the school band. He also serves on the Squadron 61 cadet staff.

Frank plays tuba with the Los Cerritos Middle School advanced band in Thousand Oaks.

He's also played with the Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra, California Band Directors Association Junior High All-State Honors Band and the Ventura County Honors Band, where he has been the first-chair tuba for three years.

The young musicians are scheduled for a second guest appearance on May 26 at Libby Bowl in Ojai and will be joined by one of Squadron 61's cadet color guard units.

The Civil Air Patrol is the official United States Air Force Auxiliary and provides a national cadet program for youth ages 12 to 21.

The program includes leadership training, aerospace education, physical fitness and character development.

Among the activities offered are military drill and ceremonies, orientation flights, air shows, honor guard and color guard duty, weekend bivouacs and a summer boot camp.
