Nasty tactics a bad habit in politics

As a person who is very tired of the political animosity that's been in play for a long time and the vitriol that's been spewed by both sides of the political spectrum, I was excited to read Tina Aschenbrenner's letter to the editor on April 10 that she "was writing her letter completely free of complaints and negativity."

Hurrah, I thought.

And then I got to the fifth paragraph and read these words: " . . . George W. Bush, his corrupt administration and this war and that we're no longer destined to become a Big Brother, right-wing-run church state."

And I realized that complaints and negativity are really okay, as long as you use it against those you don't agree with.

Politics as usual continues to rule the day.
