Killers of mother duck deserve to be prosecuted

On April 25, about eight teenagers were seen abducting 13 mallard duck babies and left the mother duck dead from a pellet gun shot to the neck in the Conejo Creek South area.

There are a lot of sad and sickened children and adults in the surrounding neighborhood who really enjoyed observing the mother with her fuzzy baby ducklings.

Mallards are protected by the federal government, and harming them can result in a citation and court date. Wildlife struggles enough as it is.
