Symphony lovers should be spared the parking fee

I look at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza as a wonderful addition to the city and not a boondoggle as some might think.

I have one complaint though.

We are season subscribers to the New West Symphony and as such must pay $8 to park in the Plaza parking structure for each performance.

We could have our tickets for the symphony at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center where we wouldn't have to pay any parking fee. But wait a minute. I guess we would spend $8 or more for gas driving to Oxnard for the performances.

Oh well, I guess we'll stay locally. And by the way, I think that the parking structure should be painted to match the rest of the Plaza and not left in its pristine cement color.
