School invites families to spring shindig

Banyan Elementary School will host a Spring Shindig from 5 to 9 p.m. Fri., May 16 at the school, 1120 Knollwood Drive, Newbury Park.

The event will include a family country hoe-down with music, dancing, a trick roper, games, crafts, auction and surprise guest for the children.

Admission is $5 per person and $20 for family.
