Resident doesn't want Home Depot close to her home

I'm a resident of Westlake Village. I live right down the street from the proposed Home Depot location, and I'm very much against them opening another store here.

The opening of another Home Depot right down the street from where I live will have a complete negative impact on my quality of life. Trucks passing by my apartment on Hampshire Road with their loud noises and diesel fumes will destroy a relatively clean and quiet lifestyle and neighborhood, not to mention the increased traffic of customers passing in and out of that location.

The intersection of Willow Lane and Hampshire Road near the freeway exit is already proving to be a disaster waiting to happen. With the opening of that gas station there on the corner, it has created a dangerous intersection, with cars impatiently pulling out in front of you with little regard of oncoming traffic because it's so congested.

The opening of a Home Depot there or any large business, for that matter, would increase the dangers exponentially. It would also destroy the smaller local hardware store businesses that I happen to frequent.

I'm against the opening of any large corporate business in that location, not just Home Depot. The city should allow the building of affordable housing in that location, especially in light of what may happen to the mobile home parks in town.

I'll do what I can to stop the opening of a Home Depot there and I will be involved in stopping an opening of any large business in that location unless it's affordable housing, which this city desperately needs.
