Pope's NY visit will be on TV

Time Warner Cable will telecast live, extensive coverage of the first New York City visit of Pope Benedict XVI from Fri. to Sun., April 18 through 20 on Channel 698. Coverage of the papal visit is courtesy of NY1 News.

Customers can also view separate coverage in Spanish from NY1 Noticias on Channel 699.

Along with covering the events, NY1 News will provide around-the-clock coverage at the papal residence in Manhattan, report from all venues before and after the events, and capture public reaction to the pope's visit.

Coverage will begin daily at 6 a.m. and end at 11:35 p.m. (EST). Every day ends with a comprehensive report recapping the day's events.

The pope is scheduled to celebrate Mass at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx at 2:30 p.m. (EST) Sun., April 20.
