Researching in faraway places topic of genealogy meeting

The Ventura County Genealogical Society Inc. will hold its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Sat., April 19 at the Ventura LDS Family History Center, 3501 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.

Guest speaker Carl Boyer will discuss "Hints for doing research in faraway places (often from home)."

Boyer has been researching genealogy since 1964 and has published several books, including "Medieval English Ancestors" in 2001 and "Medieval Welsh Ancestors" in 2004.

Genealogy books and supplies will be available for purchase before the meeting and during breaks.
