Several groups oppose Measure B

The Conejo Council ParentTeacher Association became the latest group to vote to oppose Measure B.

The initiative was a result of a petition drive organized by the Doit Center and will be decided in the June 3 election.

A thirdparty analysis, researched at the request of the city of Thousand Oaks, found that Measure B could deprive the school district of new annual revenues.

In addition to the threat of unrealized funding, critics say the measure could jeopardize the assistance that the school district receives from the city.

The Conejo Council ParentTeacher Association joins members of the CVUSD Board of Education, the Unified Association of Conejo Teachers, Ventura County Sheriff Bob Brooks, Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center CEO Jim Sherman, the Conejo Recreation and Park District board of directors, the Thousand OaksWestlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Ventura County Taxpayers Association in opposing Measure B.
