T.O. City Council is conservative? I don't think so

Regarding Nancy Needham's April 3 article in the Thousand Oaks Acorn that was headlined "Mayor discusses finances, facilities, priorities of the city," T.O. Mayor Jacqui Irwin is quoted as stating, "The city has always been financially conservative, which will help Thousand Oaks as it faces budget challenges."

I call out Mayor Irwin to please explain to me and all the taxpaying citizens of Thousand Oaks exactly how she and the City Council considers funding their day laborer site with $100,000 of our tax dollars each year as being "financially conservative." Dawn Williams Thousand Oaks
