DIPPED IN DEW- This lipstick-red rosebud appeared, bathed in dewdrops, early Monday morning. The first bloom of the season, it graces one of two bushes in the photographer's local front yard. The plants were already well established when the family bought their home in 1995. Pruned back in late winter, both bushes produce a wealth of bright red flowers, but this bush is the standout with another 30 or so heavily scented buds already poised to open.
