The California Lutheran University Wind Ensemble will mark the 100th anniversary of composer Leroy Anderson's birth with a concert at 8 p.m. Fri., April 11 in Samuelson Chapel on campus, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.

The Wind Ensemble will play Anderson's pieces "Blue Tango," "Serenata," "The Syncopated Clock" and "Trumpeter's Lullaby." Music faculty emeritus Elmer Ramsey, who founded the Conejo Symphony Orchestra and Conejo Pops Orchestra, will play trumpet.

The Wind and Jazz ensembles will also perform other hits from the American songbook.

Daniel Geeting, director of instrumental music, will conduct the Wind Ensemble, and Peter Woodford, longtime guitarist for The Doc Severinsen NBC Tonight Show Band, will direct the Jazz Ensemble.

The concert is free, but donations will be accepted.
