Kiwanis of T.O. seeks sponsors for golf tourney Sponsorships are available for the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks' Inaugural Celebrity Golf Tournament. It's a fundraiser to support Community Conscience in Thousand Oaks, a nonprofit organization that helps other agencies serve the public without paying rent. This, in turn, ensures that donations help people instead of going to a landlord. The golf tournament will be Mon., June 23 at Moorpark Country Club, 11800 Championship Drive in Moorpark. The cost is $225 per golfer. To participate, go to the website at www.tokiwanis.org or call co-chairs Darryl Zilberstein at (805) 573-6624 or Haze Arnold at (805) 907-0505. All sponsors will be acknowledged for their generosity after the tournament. The Kiwanis are seeking a title sponsor. For a donation of $5,000, the title sponsor will get three foursomes in the tournament, their choice of celebrities, 12 additional dinner tickets, four deluxe tee-sign plaques, 120 raffle tickets, their business name and/ or logo on the event shirt and their company name displayed on a cart facing the golfers. Other sponsorships are available, including the MillionDollar-Shootout. At the end of play, six golfers will get a shot at acing a 165-yard hole. Women will shoot from 150 yards. The insurance premium is the sponsorship fee, which is $1,185. The sponsor will get a plaque and an invitation to the awards dinners. Regarding HoleInOne sponsors, each of the par 3's will have a prize of at least $5,000, which may include jet skis, motorcycles, automobiles, motor homes or big screen TVs. The insurance fee is the sponsorship donation. For example, an item valued at $5,000 can be insured for as little as $190. A $20,000 premium can be insured for as little as $606. HoleIn-One sponsors can display the prize, such as a motorcycle or vehicle. They'll also get a plaque and an invitation to the awards dinner. Hole Sponsors are $300 each. The business donor can bring a table, and chairs will be provided to be placed at their sponsored hole by Moorpark Country Club. Hole Sponsors can distribute literature or promotional items, such as coffee mugs, golf towels or cookies and candy. There will also be sponsorship opportunities for a putting contest, closest to the pin, longest drive, forecaddies, range sponsors and tee signs. For information, go to www.tokiwanis.org or for more information specifically regarding the tournament, send an email to David Mirisch Enterprises at david@dmirisch.com. David Mirisch is the tournament director. |
