Lecture on natural medicine comes to town

Sylvia Araya will give a free public lecture on integrative/natural medicine from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Sat., April 5 at Archstone Plaza Apartments conference room, 235 Conejo School Road, Thousand Oaks.

Araya, a former registered nurse, turned to natural medicine in 1967 and is a professional naturopath. In the United States she's certified in seven natural therapies: nutrition, herbs, homeopathy, sound/color, reflexology massage and aromatherapy.

As a bishop of the Madonna Ministry, Araya includes in her practice spiritual healing and family counseling.

The event is for ages 16 and up. Practitioners in the field are also welcome.
