WHS musicians going to Carnegie

Instrumental music students from Westlake High School will perform March 24 at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Conductor and composer Johan de Meij will conduct the band. Five groups from the school will perform, with guest performances by Blair Bollinger of the Philadelphia Orchestra and jazz musician Gordon Goodwin.

The instrumental music department at WHS is led by Brian Peter, director; Mike Gangemi, assistant director; and Elizabeth Blake, orchestra director.
