Construction firm hosts career day for high school students

Bagwell Construction Services hosted a career day on March 18 for students from Thousand Oaks and Westlake high schools.

David Bagwell, president and CEO of the company, led students in what he calls a "typical day in the life of a general contractor."

The following students participated in the event: Eric Orcutt, Todd Rich, Mark Brown and Marshall Burns from TOHS, and Rey Yerena and Chris Corona from WHS.

The students had the opportunity to visit construction sites and learn about the various stages of the construction process, such as concrete pours, masonry, framing, drywall and stucco application.

Bagwell Construction Services Inc. is a full service general contracting firm in Moorpark specializing in custom homes, remodels, additions and commercial construction.
