Democrats will honor Cesar Chavez

The Democratic Club of the Conejo Valley will host a luncheon commemorating Cesar Chavez Day at noon Mon., March 31 at Alamo Bar and Grill, 2311 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.

The guest speaker is Cesar Hernandez, community organizing director of Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy. His topic is "Building regional power: Honoring the legacy of Cesar Chavez through community organizing."

The cost of $13, payable at the door, includes lunch buffet, beverage, tax and gratuity.
