Finding cash for college focus of free seminars at local libraries

National College Planners will host free workshops on how to get the thousands of dollars needed for a child's college education.

The seminars will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sat., March 22 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road; 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Mon., March 24 at Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road; and 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Wed., March 26 at Newbury Park Library, 2331 Borchard Road.

Topics include how to triple eligibility for aid, finding scholarships and grants, and avoiding scams.

Advice is available on how to pay for college with no money out of pocket, insider secrets and how to pick colleges that will provide the most money.
