Overcome addictions at EV Church

EV Free Church hosts Celebrate Recovery, a weekly 12-step program for life's hurts and habits, at 6 p.m. beginning Tues., March 18 at the church, 999 Rancho Conejo Road, Newbury Park.

The agenda is dinner at 6 p.m., worship and large group meeting at 7 p.m., small groups and open share at 8 p.m., followed by dessert and coffee at the Solid Rock Cafe.

The cost is $5 for dinner and $5 per child for babysitting.

The program addresses alcohol and substance abuse, sexual abuse, purity, codependency, anger and food issues.

The program is similar to AA but is based on the Bible with Christ as the higher power.
