Former L.A. County DA to address Democratic women

The Democratic Women's Council of Conejo Valley will host Gil Garcetti at their monthly brunch 10 a.m. Sat., March 15 at Mandevilla Restaurant, 951 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

Garcetti spent eight years as the district attorney and 32 years total in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Since leaving office he has turned to photography.

Garcetti will discuss his book "Water is Key," which follows the struggles of West African women bringing water to their families.

The luncheon costs $20.
