Anti-war film to be shown at the Thousand Oaks Library
Event hosted by Conejo Unitarians

The public is invited to a free screening and discussion of "War Made Easy: How Presidents and Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death" from 7 to 8:45 p.m. Thurs., March 27 at the Grant Brimhall/ Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.

The film features Norman Soloman and is narrated by Sean Penn.

According to a press release, the movie exposes a 50year pattern of government deception relating to military actions.

A discussion of the film and the movement to end war as an instrument of foreign policy will follow the screening.

Veterans of the Iraq War have been invited to share their perspectives. Michael Cervantes, president of Veterans for Peace, Ventura County chapter, plans to participate.

The event is presented by the Community Forum, a group established by the Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship to present events addressing issues that reflect Unitarian Universalist values.
