Many Mansions establishes Emergency Assistance Fund to help homeless residents in Conejo Valley

Many Mansions, a nonprofit affordable housing and services provider, has established the Conejo Homeless Prevention and Assistance Fund.

The purpose of the fund is to provide a short-term solution to the problem of homelessness in the community by offering residents in the Conejo Valley a source for emergency rental assistance or other emergency resources to prevent them from becoming homeless.

Ventura County's recently published "10-Year Strategy to End Homelessness" identifies the creation or expansion of a homeless prevention program as a key strategy to ending homelessness in the area.

The Conejo Valley Affordable Housing Workgroup, a conglomerate of local support agencies, believes that ending homelessness can be accomplished by educating community members and establishing an emergency assistance fund.

Those who wish to support the fund should make checks payable to Many Mansions, designated to the Conejo Homeless Prevention and Assistance Fund.
