Library hosts variety of programs in March
The Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library will host the following programs in March.

•Storyteller Rebecca Martin presents "The Green Hills," a St. Patrick's Day Celtic program about the brave and clever Finn MacCool of Fianna, on Sat., March 8 at 11 a.m. at the Grant Brimhall Library and 2:30 p.m. at Newbury Park Branch Library, 2331 Borchard Road, (805) 4982139.
•The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library and Sisters in Crime/Los Angeles present a panel of mystery crime writers at 2 p.m. Sat., March 8.
The authors include Mari Sloan ("Beaufort Falls"), Lynn Bulock (Grace Lee Harris mysteries) and Alice Zogg ("The Fall of the Optimum House"). G.B. Pool, a former private detective and author of "Media Justice," is the moderator.
The panel will discuss how to write crime novels and get started writing a book. The authors will also be available for books sales and signing. The program is free.
•The library will screen the movie "Flags of Our Fathers," based on the best-selling book by James Bradley and Ron Powers at 1 p.m. Mon., March 10.
The movie stars Ryan Philippe and was directed by Clint Eastwood. It tells the stories of the six men who raised the American flag in the famous photo at Iwo Jima.
•Teens and families are invited to Ballroom Dance @ Your Library at 7 p.m. Tues., March 25.
Participants can learn ballroom dance steps from the teen group Cotillion Ballroom Dancers directed by Gaye S. Smith.
