City needs Arbor/ Earth Day sponsors

 
The Thousand Oaks Arbor/ Earth Day Celebration is set for Sat., April 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road. Eco-friendly exhibitors, vendors and sponsors are being sought for the event.

Arbor/Earth Day is a community event hosted by the city of Thousand Oaks and Conejo Recreation and Park District. The purpose of the event is to promote a healthy, prosperous and sustainable environment by highlighting planet-friendly activities, services and products.

The city wants to feature local community groups, agencies and businesses that promote environmental awareness and practices, or produce environmentally friendly, non-toxic products and services.

The festival includes entertainment, tree plantings, hands-on children's activities, tree and plant giveaways, composting  techniques, arts and crafts, park rangers, Pause4Kids ArtaThon and native wild animals.
