According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department report, Kalita formerly lived in San Bernardino County next door to a family with a boy who was about 8 years old.
He allegedly molested the boy, now about 14, over a span of about six years, sheriff's department Detective Greg Tougas said.
The boy visited Kalita during the summers of 2006 and 2007 after Kalita moved to Thousand Oaks, Tougas said.
When deputies arrested Kalita they also searched his residence on the 100 block of Brazil Street and allegedly found child pornography of young males, Tougas said.
Authorities said they believe other children my have been victimized. Detectives want to know about any children who may have had contact with Kalita.
