Sheriff's Blotter Newbury Park A male, 18, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder at 10:56 p.m. Jan. 10 at Potrero Road and Wendy Drive. On suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, the following subjects were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 54, at 7:50 p.m. Jan. 30 at Reino Road and Kimber Drive; a male, 48, at 1:57 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 2700 block of Teller Road (suspect was also allegedly under the influence of prescription medication); and a male, 30, at 12:20 a.m. Feb. 2 on Lawrence Drive, east of Rancho Conejo Boulevard (reportedly involved in a traffic collision). A male, 24, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 7 in the 600 block of Avenida de La Plata. A consent search of his bedroom reportedly uncovered 23 Vicodin pills, three glass pipes and a false resident alien card. During a search of the suspect at East Valley Sheriff's Station, the suspect allegedly had half a blade of scissors in his right shoe under the sole; the other half of the scissors was located in the other shoe, and the blades of both were sharpened into stabbing instruments. The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances: A female, 45, at 11:25 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 500 block of Avenida del Platino; and a female, 46, at 9:40 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 800 block of Verna Avenue. Vehicle break-ins were reported on the following dates and places: On Feb. 2 or 3 in the 2700 block of Kelly Knoll Lane (unsecured); on Jan. 27 or 28 in the 1800 block of Brush Oak Court (iPod stolen from unsecured vehicle); on Jan. 29 or 30 in the 2600 block of W. Kelly Road (unlocked); between 5:15 and 9:01 p.m. Feb. 1 in the 1700 block of Newbury Road (window broken); on Feb. 3 or 4 in the first block of Ocatillo Avenue (unlocked); on Feb. 3 or 4 in the 2600 block of Elmira Street (purse, iPod and other items stolen); and between Feb. 1 and 6 in the 1000 block of Rancho Conejo Boulevard (unlocked). The roof of the Boys & Girls Club on 2855 Borchard Road was damaged with an unknown object between July 2007 and Jan. 22. The damage estimate was $1,000. Somebody used force to enter a locked electrical room and steal items between Jan. 28 and Feb. 6 in the 3100 block of Old Conejo Road. The burglar also attempted to enter another locked room, damaging the door. A known suspect entered someone's bedroom with the intent to steal property on Jan. 30 in the 800 block of Birch Hill Street. A male, 18, was cited for driving on the grass of Borchard Community Park at 1:41 p.m. Jan. 31. On a charge of possessing a lost or stolen credit card, a male, 24, was arrested at 8:51 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 800 block of Mitchell Road. Vandalism was reported in the 100 block of Reino Road between 6:45 and 6:50 p.m. Jan. 31. Somebody forced entry into a gated area in the 1600 block of Lawrence Drive between 4 and 5 a.m. Feb. 2. A male, 46, was arrested for grand theft at 9:27 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 800 block of Birch Hill Street. The grill logo of a car was damaged on Feb. 4 in the 2100 block of Newbury Road. For allegedly urinating in public and being too drunk to care for himself, a male, 26, was arrested at 11:36 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 2300 block of Borchard Road. Thousand Oaks A male, 72, was arrested and charged with child molestation at 10:05 a.m. Feb. 7 in the 100 block of Brazil Street. About $10,000 in cash was stolen from someone's home on Feb. 1 in the first block of Maegan Place. On suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, the following subjects were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A female, 30, at 6:25 p.m. Feb. 7 on Avenida de Los Arboles, west of the 23 Freeway (allegedly involved in noninjury traffic collision); a male, 22, at 5:22 a.m. Jan. 30 on Hillcrest Drive, west of Highway 23 (reportedly collided with two parked vehicles); a female, 29, at 11:31 p.m. Jan. 30 at Hillcrest and Houston drives (allegedly left scene of traffic accident without exchanging information with the other involved party); a female, 44, at 11:44 a.m. Feb. 1 at tThousand Oaks Boulevard and Erbes Road (reportedly driving on suspended or revoked license and failed to stop at a red arrow); a male, 58, at 5:53 p.m. Feb. 1 on Olsen Road west of Moorpark Road (allegedly at fault in an injury traffic collision); a female, 60, at 7:09 p.m. Feb. 1 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Erbes Road (reportedly involved in minor traffic collision); and a male, 27, at 11:50 p.m. Jan. 2 at Pederson and Erbes roads (allegedly driving with a suspended license). On charges of possessing substances believed to be heroin and marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a male, 20, was arrested at 1:57 a.m. Feb. 7 in the 200 block of Bethany Court. He was also suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Property valued at about $180 was stolen from someone's vehicle around 10:50 a.m. Feb. 4 in the 1000 block of Old Farm Road. A known suspect caused less than $400 in graffiti vandalism at Thousand Oaks High School around 9 a.m. Feb. 5. Twelve walkway lights in a greenbelt area were broken in the 3900 block of Calle Del Sol between Feb. 2 and 5. A male, 56, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm and intimidating another person at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 2100 block of El Monte Drive. Windows were broken at three homes in the 100 block of Gazania Court between 7 and 8 a.m. Feb. 5. The total damage was estimated at $1,200. A home's front window was smashed with a rock between Jan. 23 and Feb. 7 in the 100 block of Gazania Court. Vandalism on two homes occurred around 7:30 a.m. Feb. 7 in the 100 block of Gazania Court. Property valued around $1,350 was stolen from someone's home on Feb. 3 or 4 in the 500 block of Dallas Drive. Shoplifting occurred between 2 and 2:40 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road. A male, 22, was arrested and charged with stealing property by using force and fear at 6:51 a.m. Feb. 2 in the 1800 block of Los Feliz Drive. Somebody attempted to steal property from a locked structure in the 3600 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard between Feb. 1 and 4. On a charge of stealing items from a store, a female, 24, was arrested at 12:42 p.m. Feb. 2 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road. Shoplifting occurred between 2:30 and 3:10 p.m. in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road. Property was stolen from a business on Jan. 31 or Feb. 1 in the 3300 block of Old Conejo Road. Somebody stole more than $5,000 in merchandise from a Victoria's Secret between 2 and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 31. A male, 18, was arrested on a charge of stealing $195 worth of clothing at 5:10 p.m. Feb. 2 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road. Somebody entered a home and selected specific items to take on Feb. 1 in the 1600 block of El Cerrito Drive. Those items were left in the dwelling and never removed; the crime is being classified as a first-degree residential burglary. Property was stolen from someone's home between Feb. 1 and 6 in the 3000 block of Crescent Way. An item valued at $179.99 was stolen from a store between 3:07 and 3:22 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 1300 block of N. Moorpark Road. A female, 22, was arrested and charged with petty theft at 6:22 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. Property was stolen from a storage locker between Feb. 1 and 4 in the 400 block of W. Gainsborough Road. An unknown suspect broke into someone's home and stole property on the night of Feb. 3 in the 1100 block of Calle Tulipan. Property was stolen from someone's home between Jan. 31 and Feb. 2 in the 1500 block of La Jolla Drive. A petty theft occurred around noon Feb. 2 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road. A male, 21, was arrested and charged with stealing merchandise at 1:32 p.m. Jan. 18 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road. A male, 21, was arrested and charged with stealing more than $400 in merchandise from his employer, Big 5 Sporting Goods on W. Thousand Oaks Boulevard, at 8:19 p.m. Feb. 4. He allegedly stole items from the store between Sept. 15 and Jan. 31. Items from a mailbox were stolen on Feb. 5 or 6 in the 800 block of Falmouth Street. On a charge of stealing items from a store, a female, 27, was arrested at 2:55 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road. A male, 44, was arrested and charged with having a switchblade knife in his vehicle at 10:30 p.m. Jan. 2 in a parking lot in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. On a charge of shoplifting, a female, 25, was arrested at 3:51 p.m. Feb. 5 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road. A grand theft occurred between Jan. 14 and 19 in the 3500 block of Radcliffe Road. Graffiti vandalism with a paint marker was discovered at four locations throughout the city. The damage was less than $400 at each site. Shoplifting occurred at a store in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive around 5:30 p.m. Jan. 12. The following subjects were arrested and charged with being drunk in public: a male, 45, at 10:01 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 600 block of N. Moorpark Road; and a male, 21, at 10 p.m. Feb. 5 in the 1100 block of Windsor Drive. A male, 22, was cited for urinating in public in the Janss Marketplace parking lot at 2 a.m. Feb. 2. He didn't see the uniformed peace officer until he had finished urinating. When asked by a patrol officer why he didn't use a restroom, the suspect said he had to go "really bad." Westlake/T.O. Two locked vehicles were broken into on Feb. 6 or 7 in the 1300 block of Thornhill Street. Someone purchased items using rubber checks between Dec. 4 and Jan. 22 in the 100 block of N. Lakeview Canyon Road. The value of both checks was $2,000, which was supposed to go to the Westlake High School Scholarship Foundation. A person entered someone's home and stole property on Jan. 31 or Feb. 1 in the 1200 block of Bucksmoore Court. |
