Temple to host Green Fair

Temple Adat Elohim will sponsor a Green Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sun., Feb. 24 at the temple, 2420 E. Hillcrest Road in Thousand Oaks.

Keynote speaker Lee Wallach, president of the Coalition on the Environment in Jewish Life, will address the connection between Judaism, environmentalism and how citizens can become environmentally conscious. Refreshments will be served.

The fair will feature workshops and vendors to teach and promote going green in homes and businesses. Presenters include Southern California Edison, the city of Thousand Oaks, Advanced Solar Electric, Universal Nissan and other local businesses.

There will be eco-friendly arts and crafts for children, as well as an ecoarcade, raffles and a scavenger hunt with prizes.

Tours of the temple facility highlighting the areas that have gone green will be ongoing throughout the morning.
