Preschool becomes 'Casino Royale'

The annual fundraiser for St. Maximilian Kolbe Korner Preschool, "Casino Royale," will be on Sat., Feb. 23 in the church hall at 5801 Kanan Road, Westlake Village.

The event begins with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction at 6:30 p.m., followed by a dinner, live auction, gaming tables and a poker tournament from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Bob Eubanks, Emmy awardwinning host of "The Newlywed Game" and Tournament of Roses Parade commentator, will conduct the live auction

Major auction items include a one-week stay in a luxury condo at Sundial Lodge in Park City, Utah, and a ski package with roundtrip airfare for twoand three-night stays at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.

Admission to the event is $85, which includes $1,000 in gaming currency, one raffle ticket, two drink tickets, hors d'oeuvres and dinner.

All proceeds will support preschool programs, including science labs, music performances, dance recitals and wildlife experiences.
