VALENTINES FOR VETERANS- Newbury Park resident Alicia Sadowski, 10, left center, and Westlake resident Taylor Lyle, 11, hold giant boxes of valentines and candy that Pinecrest Elementary students in Thousand Oaks made and collected to send to soldiers overseas for Valentine's Day. Staff Sgt. Eliseo Rodriguez, left, and Pvt. Adolfo Aparicio of the Simi Valley recruiting station came to pick up the boxes on Monday morning.
