Strickland promises to oppose tax hikes

On Jan. 25, Assemblymember Audra Strickland (RWestlake Village) signed a taxpayer protection pledge, sponsored by Americans for Tax Reform, to "oppose and vote against any legislation that increases state taxes."

By signing the pledge, Strickland is bound for the duration of her tenure in the Assembly to uphold the principles of limited government and fiscal restraint.

Strickland believes that the government should cut spending instead of increasing taxes.
