Mannisto named to All-State first team

Westlake High senior place kicker/punter Jordan Mannisto has been selected to the All-State first team by CalHiSports.com.

Mannisto averaged 41.4 yards per punt this season for the Warriors and converted 9of12 field goal attempts, including three kicks of more than 50 yards.

St. Bonaventure running back Darrell Scott was the only other Ventura County football player to make the first team.

Chris Potter of Oaks Christian was named to the All-State second team as a multipurpose athlete. Potter, who played quarterback and defensive back, threw for 21 touchdowns and ran for an additional 19 scores as the Lions won their fifth consecutive CIF-Southern Section championship.
