Goebel Senior Center a major asset for T.O.

Thousand Oaks is lucky to have the Goebel Senior Center.

This past New Year's Eve, I vowed to not spend another New Year's Eve sitting at home with my elderly mother watching other people on TV having fun. So we decided to give the Goebel Senior Center New Year's Eve dinner/dance/casino night a try.

And what a nice surprise it was. The band--the Aristicats--was really good, playing old classics which got lots of folks up and dancing. The food was filling. The staff was friendly. The casino games were fun. The atmosphere was festive, and the whole evening flew by.

Before we knew it, it was midnight. Where else can someone get in that kind of fun for just $25?

Our community is very lucky to have such a place where seniors can enjoy themselves in a nice safe environment.
