Conejo Players will hold auditions for the comedy 'Nude With Pineapple'

Conejo Players Theatre will hold auditions for "Nude With Pineapple" at 7 p.m. Sun., Jan. 27 and 7:30 p.m. Mon. and Tues., Jan. 28 and 29.

Auditions will be held at the theater, 351 S. Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks.

"Nude With Pineapple" is a comedy about a man who enjoys painting and dislikes clothing.

His "commonplace" family ends up placing him in an asylum.

Characters include: Clara, a housewife, mid-30s; Charley, a dreamer, mid-30s; Mr. Harris, a common middle-aged man; Constance, a flirty young woman; Strickler, Clara's overpowering father, late 50s; Piggles, a quiet, bored-looking person, 50s; Melodie, an ethereal young woman; Tanneyday, an incharge type, 60s; Blessings, a restless person, 60s; D.D.D., a kindly old man; Maid and Butler, nonspeaking roles.

The auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No appointment is necessary.
