Newbury Park

A male, 25, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. Dec. 31 at Felton Street and Wilshire Place on charges of driving a stolen vehicle, evading a police officer by driving unsafely, possessing a loaded firearm, possessing stolen property and possessing drug paraphernalia.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances: a female, 24, at 2:47 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 200 block of Devia Drive; a male, 21, at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 30 in the 1200 block of Newbury Road (suspect's urine reportedly tested positive for methamphetamine).

A male, 46, allegedly violated a domestic violence restraining order at 10:55 p.m. Dec. 28 at the intersection of Regal Oaks Court and Crystal View Circle.

Vehicle break-ins were reported on the following dates and places: On Dec. 27 or 28 in the 3200 block of Gerald Drive (unlocked); on Dec. 31 in the first block of Brookside Place; between Dec. 28 and Jan. 1 in the 2600 block of Theresa Drive (window smashed); between Dec. 30 and Jan. 2 in the first block of Sandra Court (unlocked); and on Jan. 1 or 2 in the 3400 block of Gloria Drive (unlocked).

Somebody set a 91-year-old woman's home on fire on Dec. 26 or 27 in the 1600 block of Amarelle Street.

A male, 21, allegedly possessed marijuana at 4 a.m. Jan. 1 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road.

Somebody threw a plastic sprinkler head at someone's window and broke the window pane around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 700 block of Rudman Drive.

A package was stolen from a front porch on Dec. 27 in the 100 block of Knollwood Drive.

Merchandise was stolen from a store in the 1900 block of Newbury Road in August, but it was only recently reported.

A male, 39, allegedly stole copper wire concealed in a cabinet he purchased from a business in the 2700 block of Teller Lane at 10:08 a.m. Dec. 29.

An attempted shoplifting incident occurred between 9:45 and 10:08 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 2700 block of Teller Road.

Grand theft occurred between 6 and 6:40 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 2700 block of Teller Road.

Shoplifting occurred between 1:10 and 1:20 p.m. Dec. 31 in the 2700 block of Teller Road.

A male, 18, was arrested and charged with shoplifting at 2:31 p.m. Dec. 31 in the 2700 block of Teller Road.

On suspicion of being drunk in public, a female, 30, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. Dec. 31 in the 3300 block of Kimber Drive.

Thousand Oaks

Graffiti with anti-Semitic symbols was spray painted on property at Ascension Lutheran School and Church between Dec. 28 and 30. The violation is being considered a hate crime.

A male, 69, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 9:25 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 1500 block of Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 52, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 9:12 p.m. Dec. 30 at Janss Road and the 23 Freeway.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances: A female, 38, at 2:25 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 100 block of Skyline Drive (subject also reportedly possessed drug paraphernalia); a male, 37, at 3 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 100 block of Skyline Drive; a male, 29, at 6:40 p.m. Dec. 29 in a parking lot in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive; and a male, 41, at 10:01 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 300 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles (suspect allegedly possessed a stolen vehicle containing drugs, drug paraphernalia and a shotgun).

A male, 40, was arrested and charged with possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine and a Social Security card not in his name at 5:04 p.m. Dec. 26 at Erbes Road and La Granada Street.

A female, 34, was arrested on charges of possessing two glass pipes for methamphetamine, one empty needle and one needle with a brownish-red substance in it at 10:54 a.m. Jan. 2 in the 900 block of Witherspoon Drive. The arresting officer believed the liquid in one of the needles was heroin.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between 9:45 and 9:55 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 1700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard ($2,000 worth of property stolen from unlocked vehicle); on Dec. 27 or 28 in the 400 block of Massey Street (unlocked); on Dec. 27 or 28 in the 2200 block of Wet Stone Drive; between Dec. 28 and 31 in the 200 block of N. Westlake Boulevard (window broken and stereo stolen); between 10:45 a.m. and noon Dec. 31 in the 2500 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard (window smashed); between 4:20 and 4:35 a.m. Jan. 1 in the 1800 block of Los Feliz Drive; on Jan. 1 in the 1300 block of Witherspoon Drive; on Dec. 31 or Jan. 1 in the 1500 block of Campbell Avenue (unlocked); and on Jan. 1 or 2 in the 1000 block of Calle Pinata.

A car window was smashed on Dec. 31 or Jan. 1 in the 1400 block of Avenida de Los Arboles.

Property was stolen from the front lawn of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church between Dec. 25 and 27.

A male, 18, was arrested on a charge of battery at 10:15 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

Someone broke a window in a school building and stole property on Dec. 27 or 28 in the 1200 block of Borchard Road.

Gang graffiti was painted on property in the flood control channel, south of Calle Zafiro, between Nov. 17 and Dec. 28.

Two businesses in the 1500 block of N. Moorpark road were spray painted with graffiti between 12:05 and 12:29 a.m. Dec. 30.

Graffiti was painted on a business on Dec. 29 in the 2000 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

Graffiti was found on a business on Dec. 29 in the 1800 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

A male, 18, allegedly stole a credit card and used it to buy food and gas at 3:15 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 600 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 41, allegedly battered his wife by kicking her in the shin at 7:47 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 3900 block of Kimber Drive.

Somebody threw an object at a moving vehicle at 1:45 p.m. Jan. 1 at Moorpark Road and Mayflower Street.

A female, 31, allegedly attempted to purchase merchandise with a stolen credit card at 3:15 p.m. Dec. 26 in the 2600 block of La Paloma Circle.

A petty theft occurred at a business between 7:15 and 8:30 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 34, was recently arrested and charged with stealing merchandise at a store in the 1700 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles on Oct. 2. The suspect was identified by surveillance video.

Property was damaged at a business between Dec. 23 and 30 in the 1500 block of El Cerrito Drive.

A male, 22, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and identity theft at 11 a.m. Dec. 28 in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road in Moorpark. The crime occurred in Thousand Oaks in the 600 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A phone was stolen around 9 p.m. Dec. 26 in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 50, was arrested for reportedly making threats at 3:45 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 1400 block of Moorpark Road.

Shoplifting occurred at a business between 4:40 and 4:46 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 400 block of Avenida de Los Arboles.

A male, 41, was arrested and charged with domestic violence at 2:19 a.m. Dec. 20 in the 100 block of Gazania Court.

An unknown suspect took $270 in cash from someone's bedroom drawer between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Laurie Lane.

A male, 42, was arrested and charged with battery at 3:34 p.m. at the East Valley Sheriff's Station for a crime committed in the 2600 block of Castillo Circle.

Somebody threw an object that caused property to catch on fire around 9 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 1800 block of Country Club Road. A similar crime occurred around the same time in the 1800 block of Rutgers Drive.

Property from a wallet was removed while it was in the care of the Los Robles Golf Course Pro Shop between Dec. 26 and 30 in 200 block of S. Moorpark Road.

Two suspects entered someone's home without permission between 5:25 and 5:35 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 1800 block of Instone Court.

Shoplifting occurred between 4:05 and 4:50 p.m. Dec. 30 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A suspect was recently arrested and charged with impersonating an officer on Aug. 5 on the onramp to the 101 Freeway from Lynn Road.

Coins were stolen from two washing machines in an apartment complex's laundry room between Dec. 18 and 19 in the 600 block of Hampshire Road.

A male, 39, was arrested for allegedly allowing his son, who doesn't have a driver's license, to drive the suspect's car to work at 9:45 p.m. Jan. 2 at the intersection of Benson Way and Flittner Circle.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public: A male, 44, at 2:35 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 100 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard and a male, 31, at 10:37 p.m. Dec. 31 in the 500 block of Calle Tulipan.

For urinating in public, a male, 37, was cited and released at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A male, 51, was arrested and charged with drinking Steel Reserve, an alcoholic beverage, in a parking lot in the first block of Rancho Road at 1:25 p.m. Jan. 2. The suspect reportedly poured out the rest of his beverage and told the on-site officer that he wouldn't drink any more alcohol in the parking lot.

A male, 20, was arrested and charged with possessing prescription medication not in his name while sitting in his car in a closed parking lot at Westlake High School at 10:05 p.m. Dec. 29.

Tires were removed from a vehicle between 5 and 6 a.m. Dec. 27 in the 800 block of Hampshire Road.

Two tires were slashed and passenger doors were keyed on a vehicle between 7:45 and 10 a.m. Dec. 31 in the 100 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.
