Conejo Valley Garden Club meets later this month

The Conejo Valley Garden Club will meet 9:30 a.m. Wed., Jan. 23 at the United Methodist Church at 1000 Janss Road in Thousand Oaks.

The meeting will start with an intraclub competition of horticulture. Members may bring specimens grown in their garden to be judged. Awards are given throughout the club year.

Master Judge Camille Van Ast will continue with the monthly design demonstration in preparation for the club's spring flower show. The club offers a standard flower show for the community every two years.

Future activities will include participation in local Earth Day activities and assisting as docents at the Kids' Adventure Garden at the Botanic Garden.
