Newbury Park

On suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, a male, 35, was arrested at 1:36 a.m. Dec. 25 on W. Potrero Road, about one mile west of Rancho Dos Vientos.

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A female, 24, at 7:49 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 200 block of Devia Drive (methamphetamine); a male, 34, at 1 a.m. Dec. 26 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road (suspect allegedly possessed a controlled substance and a smoking device); and a male, 18, at 8:38 a.m. Dec. 22 in the 600 block of Paseo Esmeralda (suspect was reportedly under the influence of and in possession of substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana).

An unknown suspect broke into someone's home and stole property between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 3100 block of Gerald Drive.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (suspect allegedly attempted to hot-wire the vehicle to get it started); between 6 and 6:07 a.m. Dec. 21 in the 3000 block of Imperial Circle (passenger side window smashed); and on Dec. 23 or 24 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 21, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public at 9 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 1200 block of Alessandro Drive.

A purse was stolen between 7:45 and 8 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 2300 block of Michael Drive.

Sports equipment was stolen from the front lawn of a home in the 5100 block of Via Rincon on the morning of Dec. 21.

Thousand Oaks

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 46, at 5:55 p.m. Dec. 20 at the intersection of Erbes and Pederson roads (injury traffic collision); a male, 22, at 3:16 a.m. Dec. 22 in Janss Marketplace; a female, 54, at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 23 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Calle Tulipan; and a male, 23, at 5:10 p.m. Dec. 23 at Calle Pensamiento and Calle Dalia (the suspect was also reportedly involved in a traffic accident and left the scene without stopping).

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 49, at 8:29 a.m. Dec. 21 in the 100 block of Hunt Circle; a female, 38, at 7:10 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 100 block of N. Conejo School Road; a male, 21, at 5:06 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 500 block of Benson Way (a glass smoking pipe coated in white residue was reportedly found between the suspect's feet in the vehicle); and a male, 43, at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 26 in the 100 block of N. Jerome Avenue (the suspect was also allegedly in possession of a controlled substance).

Vehicle break-ins were reported on the dates and places indicated: Between Dec. 19 and 20 in the 800 block of Calle Haya; on Dec. 20 or 21 in the 100 block of Prentiss Street; on Dec. 20 or 21 in the 500 block of Laurie Lane (rear quarter panel window smashed); on Dec. 20 or 21 in the 400 block of E. Wilbur Road (an attempt was made to steal vehicle); between 1:30 and 2:45 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 2500 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard; between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 2700 block of Parkview Drive (GPS system from dashboard stolen from an unlocked car in an open garage); on Dec. 23 or 24 in the 600 block of Artisan Road; (windows shattered); on Dec. 23 or 24 in the 2300 block of Leeward Circle (window broken); between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 200 block of Moorpark Road; and between 5 and 6:15 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 100 block of Promenade Way (a backpack and tote bag were stolen from locked vehicle).

A male, 25, was allegedly found inside another person's vehicle and attempted to steal it with a set of burglary tools at 7:38 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. The suspect also reportedly lied about his identity during the investigation.

On a charge of being inside a stolen vehicle from Spokane, Wash., a female, 32, was arrested at 9:48 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 300 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

A male, 42, was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run traffic accident that involved an injury at 8:50 a.m. Dec. 20 at the intersection of Hampshire and Triunfo Canyon roads.

On suspicion of attempting to steal items from a store where he worked, a male, 28, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. Dec. 27 in the 300 block of N. Moorpark Road. The suspect reportedly possessed a bottle of unmarked prescription drugs and had stashed away a laptop computer with the intent to steal it at a later date.

A male, 18, allegedly stole more than $400 in merchandise from his employer at 2:07 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

On suspicion of commercial burglary and grand theft, a female, 37, was arrested at 5:03 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Somebody attempted to pry open two doors of a home on Dec. 19 or 20 in the first block of W. Columbia Road.

A male, 18, was arrested and charged with trespassing at Thousand Oaks High School after being told to leave the campus at 10 a.m. Dec. 19.

Vandalism occurred on Dec. 20 or 21 in the 1600 block of Bowcliff Terrace.

A male, 20, reportedly possessed a bottle of Naproxen, a prescription medication, at 5:06 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 500 block of Benson Way. The bottle had no label and was allegedly obtained by a relative of the suspect.

Items valued at under $400 were reportedly stolen by a male, 27, at 7:58 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 25, allegedly attempted to steal a baseball bat from a Sport Chalet on N. Moorpark Road at 3:56 p.m. Dec. 22.

Merchandise was stolen between 7:15 and 7:50 p.m. Dec. 26 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

For selling DVDs out of the trunk of his car without a proper license, a male, 26, was arrested and charged at 10:07 a.m. Dec. 20 in the first block of N. Moorpark Road.

A petty theft occurred at The Oaks mall at 8:58 a.m. Dec. 24.

On suspicion of allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle, a male, 37, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. Dec. 24 at Conejo Boulevard and Hillcrest Drive.

A grand theft was attempted at a business in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive between Dec. 5 and 16.

About $1,000 worth of property damage occurred on Dec. 24 or 25 in the 3300 block of Stormcloud Street.

Property was stolen from an office building between Dec. 21 and 26 in the 300 block of E. Hillcrest Drive.

Shoplifting occurred at 4:05 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A mailbox was vandalized with spray paint between Dec. 15 and 16 in the 2500 block of Whitechapel Place.

Property was stolen from a business around 8:45 a.m. Dec. 24 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A wallet was removed from someone's purse between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 25, stole someone's purse around 11:55 a.m. Dec. 22 in the first block of W. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Three bottles of alcohol were stolen from a grocery store in the 2000 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles around 6:30 p.m. Dec. 22.

Property was stolen off someone's front lawn on Dec. 20 or 21 in the 2900 block of Camino Del Zuro.

Unknown suspects entered someone's home around 11:30 a.m. Dec. 23 in the 800 block of Linden Circle.

Vandalism occurred between 5 and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 3300 block of Lang Ranch Drive.

On suspicion of being drunk in public, a female, 49, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 20 in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 62, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public at 10:18 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 600 block of Encino Vista Drive.

Charged with being drunk in public, a female, 49, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 1300 block of N. Moorpark Road.

On suspicion of drinking in public, a male, 44, was cited at 3:20 p.m. Dec. 26 in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 51, was cited for drinking in public at 6:45 p.m. Dec. 21 in the first block of Rancho Drive. The suspect poured out the rest of his can of Steel Reserve in the parking lot. The very next day, the suspect was cited for the same offense at 4:18 p.m. in the first block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard, and again had to dump his Steel Reserve.

Westlake/T.O.

The window of a vehicle was broken and a GPS system was stolen on Dec. 23 or 24 on Royal Glen Road, north of Watergate Road.

Tools from the bed of a pickup truck were stolen between Dec. 22 and 24 in the 3100 block of Adirondack Court.

A male, 18, was arrested and released for vandalism at Westlake High School at 10 a.m. Dec. 20.
