Defender of Christmas should lighten up

A local middle school put on a "Winterfeast" (i.e., a nonreligious year-end school party with a winter theme- - hence the name).

Puzzling, the Thousand Oaks Acorn published a meanspirited letter by Sophia Beccue, who states requesting paper goods/napkins with a winter theme at a Winterfeast party is in actuality a conspiracy against Christmas and accuses the good-hearted teachers and moms involved as being grinches ("Has had it with political correctness over Christmas," Dec. 20 T.O. Acorn).

I feel sorry for those hardworking individuals who were so unnecessarily and unreasonably attacked for simply putting on a school party.
