Four girls who help the community
     OUTSTANDING YOUNG PEOPLE—From left are Ava Jensen, Emily Dinino, Marie Mitchell and Elly Shao, Girl Scouts from Troop No. 63023. They're from Oaks Christian, Oak Park and La Reina high schools and they volunteered 100 hours each to earn the President's Volunteer Service Award. They helped organize Girl Scout events and volunteered at school activities, the senior center and area nonprofits, including My Stuff Bags and Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship Center. The President's Council on Service and Civic Participation created the program to thank and honor Americans for volunteer service.
