CRPD seeks applicants for board opening
Conejo Recreation and Park District (CRPD) is accepting applications for appointment to the board of directors to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Michael Berger, who served as director for 24 years.
The term will run through December 2010. The candidate must be a voter in the district at the time of application. The successful candidate is required by law to complete a Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests.
Original applications must be returned in person by 5 p.m. Wed., Jan. 7 to the recreation and park district administrative offices at 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. No postmarks, faxes or e-mails will be accepted. A resume may be included.
Management staff will present an informal overview of the district to applicants and offer a field trip to various district facilities from 8 a.m. to noon Fri., Jan. 9.
The overview will be at the Hillcrest Center, and the optional field trip will begin at about 9:30 a.m.
Applicants must attend a meeting of the board of directors at 7:30 p.m. Thurs., Jan 15. The board will interview applicants at this time.
