Adoption orientation coming to T.O. Library

2008-12-18 / Family

Set for Dec. 23

An orientation for prospective adoptive parents sponsored by the Children's Bureau will be held from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Tues., Dec. 23 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

All interested adults, single or married, English and bilingual Spanish speaking, are welcome.

Qualifying families receive training, certification, funds and 24-hour support to aid in the care of their adoptive children.

Families who can provide a home for two or more children, enabling brothers and sisters to remain together, are especially needed.

Training is provided by Children's Bureau, a licensed foster family and adoption agency.

Founded in 1904, Children's Bureau provides professional treatment and prevention services to more than 14,000 abused and neglected children and their families each year throughout Southern California.
