'All aboard the FIllmore and Western Christmas trains'
The Fillmore & Western Railway's annual North Pole Express will run Wednesdays through Sunday until Dec. 26, with trains departing at 6 and 7:30 p.m.
The one-hour train ride journeys to the "North Pole" east of Fillmore, where it will pick up Santa Claus, who will climb onboard to visit with the children. Elves will be onboard each railcar to read a Christmas story and lead in the singing of Christmas carols. The elves will hand out a Christmas cookie and chocolate milk to everyone.
Back in town, Santa will pose for photos. Families may stroll through Santa's Village in Central Park in downtown Fillmore. The village will have craft and Christmas vendors, a carousel and a food booth.
•The Christmas Tree Train runs on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 21 with two departures each day at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The nearly threehour train ride takes passengers to a private Christmas tree farm, where they may cut down their tree. The trees are brought back on the train.
During the return trip, Santa visits with children. An onboard restaurant is also available.
•Dinner With Santa trains depart on Fridays and Sundays at 5:30 p.m. through Dec. 21. Families dine with Santa during the two-hour trip.
